The 2025 Barugzai VIP Mercedes-Benz V300 is our flagship take on the definitive luxury van platform. We spent a week with the finished build — on Sheikh Zayed Road, in hotel valet lines and parked up with the espresso running. This is the full review.
The Base: Why the V300
The V 300 d brings 239 hp and 500 Nm through a seamless nine-speed automatic — the strongest powertrain offered in the GCC V-Class range. That reserve matters: a full VIP conversion adds several hundred kilograms, and the V300 shrugs it off, holding highway pace with the same unbothered calm as a stock car.
The Cabin: Where the Money Goes
Our build seats four in the rear: two flagship captain chairs with heating, ventilation and multi-mode massage, plus a two-seat lounge. The cabin is trimmed wall-to-wall in diamond-quilted Nappa with Alcantara pillars and a full fiber-optic starlight ceiling. The partition wall carries a 43-inch smart TV with a hidden soundbar and Apple TV integration.
- Two powered captain chairs: heat, ventilation, massage, memory and near-flat recline.
- 43-inch partition TV with streaming, HDMI and wireless casting.
- Espresso console, chilled drawer and fold-away tables in polished walnut.
- Full cabin ambient lighting scenes with rear touchscreen control.
- Acoustic package: laminated glass and added insulation throughout.
On the Road
From the rear seat — the only seat that matters here — the V300 conversion is eerily quiet at 120 km/h. Air suspension (standard on this build) absorbs broken tarmac without the float that plagues van conversions, and the strengthened seat bases transmit none of the flex common in budget conversions. The chauffeur’s compartment, meanwhile, remains pure Mercedes: MBUX, driver assists and intuitive controls untouched by the conversion.
Performance figures become almost beside the point — 0–100 km/h in the low sevens is more than adequate when the cabin is hushed and the espresso is hot. What matters is refinement under load, and here the V300 passes its hardest test: a full cabin in August heat with no complaint from engine, brakes or cooling.
It does not feel like a converted van. It feels like the car Mercedes would have built for a head of state.
Technology and Connectivity
A dedicated 5G router turns the cabin into a rolling office; wireless charging pads and USB-C ports sit at every seat; and the rear touchscreen consolidates lighting, climate, seats, curtains and entertainment into one panel. Voice assistants work in English and Arabic. Importantly, all of it rides on an auxiliary electrical system with its own fused distribution — the factory Mercedes electronics remain untouched and fully serviceable.
Specification and Pricing
The 2025 Barugzai VIP V300 starts from a new GCC-spec V 300 d, with the full VIP conversion completed in eight to ten weeks. Pricing is on application and varies with specification — most flagship builds land between AED 550,000 and AED 750,000 all-in. Every build carries our two-year interior warranty.
Verdict
For buyers cross-shopping a flagship SUV at this money, the V300 conversion answers with more space, more privacy and more craft per dirham. See what is currently available in our cars for sale inventory, or commission your own specification with our design team.
